Dorothy Winn

Dorothy Grace Winn (Brindle), 90, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Friday, May 7th, 2021. Born November 4th, 1930 to the late Wilbur and Ruth (Davis) Brindle.

Dorothy was a graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School, class of 1949. She worked for Tracy Fashions and the Chambersburg Fitness Center. Dorothy was a hard working lady, who loved being outside and mowing grass. She loved spending time with her family and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Dorothy was known for her fun-loving side, sense of humor, and being a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of St. James United Brethren Church.

As well as her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Witmer; four brothers, Bill, George, Chester and Roy Brindle; and three sisters Elizabeth Johnson, Ida Mae Brindle and Mary Ellen Spoonhour.

She is survived by two granddaughters, Melissa Witmer and fiancé Carla Pakstis, and Jaclyn Kilpatrick husband Tony, great-granddaughter Julianna, son-in-law Rick Witmer, her twin sister Catherine Shields, and sisters Hilda Fahnestock, Carrie Shearer and Carol Ann Laird, devoted niece, Leslie Catterton and husband Tommy and many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a celebration of life at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Evo and Eli's Love Box, Inc. (a senior animal rescue), at 313 Cosell Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
