Frances Palmer, age 59, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA. She was born April 16, 1963, in Memphis, TN. She was the daughter of Calvin Dee and Liddy Ellen Bethune of Enville, TN.
Frances, also known as Fran to her many friends and family, graduated from Chester County High School in Henderson, TN in 1981. She went on to become an LPN in 2010. She loved and served many people throughout her lifetime. She especially loved providing care for special needs children in their homes and at the Franklin County Learning Center in Chambersburg, PA.
Preceding her in death is her father, Calvin Dee Bethune. Survivors include the love of her life for the past 32 years, her husband, Ronald Palmer; her son Richard (Andrea) Huggins; three grandchildren, Gabriel, Jasmine and Isabella Huggins; her sister Donna (Steve) Overton; two brothers, Ronnie (Linda) Bethune and Gerald Bethune; and a host of nieces and nephews, each of whom she dearly loved.
She also leaves behind a special group of cherished loved ones, including Marlene and Ronny Vickery, Flemming and Charlie Paschal, Sandy Loden, Mike Raine, Kathy and Jerry Jacobson, Malcolm Ritchie, and George and Alexandra Escalera, who provided much needed emotional and spiritual support throughout the duration of Fran’s illness. We will be forever grateful.
Two life celebrations will be held to honor Fran. The first will be held Saturday, September 24 from 12 PM to 5 PM at the WindSong Venue Center, Pickwick Lake, 2175 TN 128, Savannah TN 38372. The second will be held Sunday, October 30 from 12 PM to 5 PM at the Adams County Winery, 251 Peach Tree Road, Ortanna, PA 17353. All family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
A private family service will be held Saturday, October 8 in Emerald Isle, North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
