James Thomas, 77, of Aspers, PA passed away Monday, February 10, 2025. Born September 9, 1947 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of the late Zell and Anna (Eyler) Thomas.
James graduated at Biglerville High School in 1965, the went to a trade school finishing in 1968.
He worked construction for nine years then met Thelma and married her. After that James worked for Musselman Foods formerly Knouse Foods until his retirement.
James loved nature, western movies, Christian and country music, but his favorite was going to Ocean City, MD. He loved his family and spending time with all of them.
James is survived by his wife Thelma (Rodman) Thomas of 45 years; a daughter, Janet Thomas of Aspers; six grandchildren, Septima Martinez of New York, Summer, Shawn, and Saren Martinez of Harrisburg, and Herbie and Bella Rodenhaber of New Cumberland; one great-grandchild, Amora Grace of Harrisburg; a brother; Ken Thomas of Littlestown, and one niece and two nephews.
In addition to his parents James is preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Thomas and a brother, Donald Thomas.
A Celebration of life will be held May 24 2025 at Lake Heritage, 1000 Heritage Drive, Gettysburg, PA 17325. More details to follow.
