Lisa R. Daywalt

Lisa R. Daywalt, 54, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025 in the Hershey Medical Center surrounded by her loving family and her closest friends. Born August 10, 1970 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Donald Plum and Cheryl Burdett.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Craig Daywalt; two children, Brandi Kohler (Jake Zullinger) and Brent Hockenberry (Leah); four grandchildren, Zaine and Bennett Hockenberry and Greyson and Ariana Zullinger; two siblings, Donald Mackling and Scarlett Mackling. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father, James Burdett.

She was a 1988 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School.

Lisa was employed for Keystone Behavioral Health starting July 21, 2014 and worked for nearly 11 years. She loved her position and was greatly loved by her coworkers and the patients she interacted with.

Lisa loved the Lord with all her heart and was a faithful member of Freedom In Christ Church since 2008. She witnessed for the Lord where ever she went. She loved spending time with her family, playing Roblox with her grandchildren, and fishing with her husband. She loved her flowers and took great pride in her yard. She had a love for butterflies and all things purple. She loved Christmas time and spending the holidays with family. Lisa loved to laugh and spread joy wherever she went.

A Celebration of Life will be held 3:00 PM on April 5, 2025 at the Freedom in Christ Church, 4042 Sycamore Grove Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church. Following the service there will be food and fellowship in the church Fellowship Center.
