Marilyn H. North

Marilyn Hopler North, 89 was called home in the afternoon hours on January 23, 2025. Born on July 24, 1935, Marilyn lived a life full of adventures and travel. Living in many different states throughout her life, Marilyn returned to Chambersburg, PA where she called home. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Summers Brunk and Mark; grandchildren, Joe Summers and Stefanie, Benjamin Summers and Amanda Yeager, Kari Parker and Timothy, Rebecca Summers and Blake Newbern, Eli Brunk and Jess. Marilyn has 18 incredible great grandchildren and counting.

Marilyn enjoyed attending church, playing piano, hanging out with the girls, and collecting stuffed bears. She spent many summers sitting on the porch snapping beans, watching her grandchildren build their lives and her great grandchildren playing. She enjoyed watching her great grandchildren learn and play, she would always say, “This is what keeps me young”.

The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.
