Violet K. (Thompson) Walker, 63, of Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Hagerstown, MD passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 in her home. Born July 9, 1957 in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late James and Christine Vertell (Wall) Thompson.
She obtained a bachelor’s degree and attended law school in New York, NY. Violet was currently employed as a property manager for Humphrey Management, Maryland. Previously she was employed for several years at Author Young Attorney Services, New York, NY.
Violet was involved in non-profit organizations serving as a community coordinator in Hagerstown, MD.
She is survived by four children, Tawanna Corner and her husband Barshay, Valerie Banks and her husband Sean, Latifa Woods and her fiancé Zack McGoldrick and Tysean Hanna and his fiancé Ralon Butler all of Chambersburg; seven grandchildren, Nachéz, Dream, Sadari, Paris, Barshay, Jr., Brooklynn, and Amora-Kiaso; seven siblings, Larry, Carol, Melvin, Tina, Janis, Tyrone, and Eddie; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Gregory; a nephew, Roger and two grandsons, Michael and Shaquille.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Simple-Choice Cremation Services, Inc., Chambersburg, PA.
